In 1901 the new Hospital of St. John & St. Elizabeth was opened by the Lord Mayor of London in St. John's Wood, the Hospital retaining at its heart the beautiful domed church of St.John which had been moved brick by brick.

Today John & Lizzie's as it is affectionately known, is a successful private hospital which uses its profits to support its principal charity St. John's Hospice, which provides free palliative care for people living in the local community.

This hospital is the third largest independent hospital in the United Kingdom and provides a full range of specialist services and is well known for it's Shoulder Unit.
